Formal Assessment

Formal Assessment for the AI programming course overall is based on two small programming projects, the Prolog one handed in at the end of the Christmas vacation, and the POP-11 one at the end of the Easter vacation (i.e. one on each term's work). Remember that the work is assessed not just on the program, but also on how well it is ``written up''. The POP-11 project is due in on the first day of the Summer Term.

The final part of the MSc course from April to August is the project, on which you write a dissertation. This requires you to demonstrate programming and documentation abilities, so your work in this course is important preparation for that major exercise.
