Women's Leadership Seminar Series: Authenticity between two worlds
Join Dr Maja Golf Papez, an Associate Professor in Marketing and Director of the MBA at Sussex, as she explores how approaches that sit outside traditional academic moulds — such as challenging entrenched traditions, designing initiatives in partnership with stakeholders, and developing innovations that extend beyond publications — can in fact make academic contributions more authentic and persuasive.
Participants will be invited to reflect on their own experiences of living 'between two worlds', consider how their non-academic instincts might be a source of strength, and learn strategies for translating authenticity into academic credibility.
The session will open up a conversation about how embracing these in-between spaces can help reshape what success in academia looks like.
