Creative Media: Impacts in Practice
Tuesday 30 April 10:00 until 18:00
University of Sussex Campus : Silverstone 302
How are creative media used to advocate for social and environmental justice and human rights, in field work, in other forms of participatory and documentary projects? What kinds of ‘impact’ are achieved, who benefits and how is this evaluated? How might the concept of ‘impact’ be decolonized?
We invite you to participate in two workshops on exploring these topics. The workshops will bring together faculty and PGRs in the Schools of Media, Arts and Humanities, Global and Business.
Invited external speakers – a documentary impact producer, a participatory film producer and an ethical storyteller - working internationally in diverse media organizations will give their perspectives.
