The Joy of Not Knowing: Chinese edition

The Chinese edition of 'The Joy of Not Knowing' was launched at The 30th Beijing International Book Fair

Dr Marcelo Straricoff, Assistant Professor in Primary Education and author of 'The Joy of No Knowing' is delighted to offer his internationally renowned publication in Chinese. 

First published in 2020, The Joy of Not Knowing takes every aspect of the curriculum and school life transforming it into a personalised, meaningful and enjoyable experience for all. It offers readers an innovative, theoretical and practical guide to establish a values-based, enquiry-led and challenge-rich learning to learn approach to teaching and learning and to school leadership.

Described by Dame Alison Peacock, Chief Executive of the Chartered College of Teaching, as "a wonderful book packed with practical examples of how to build an authentic learning culture within an early years setting or primary school ...", The Joy of No Knowing was previously translated into Iranian, so the Chinese edition is its third incarnation with more in the pipeline

The Chinese edition of The Joy of Not Knowing was launched at the 30th Beijing International Book Fair.

In addition to his teaching and course lead role at the University of Sussex, Dr Marcelo Staricoff is an educational consultant, speaker and trainer working with schools nationally and internationally on applying the principles contained in his book, The Joy of Not Knowing. He is also the author of Start Thinking and a former scientist who became a primary school teacher and headteacher. Marcelo is a Founding Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching (elected in 2019).
