Dr Dimitra Petrakaki

A Sussex expert in information systems has held a workshop to determine research priorities in telehealth - technology enabling clinicians to communicate with and monitor patients over long distances.  

Senior Lecturer in Information Systems Dr Dimitra Petrakaki held the workshop, titled 'Using telehealth and assistive technology to improve patient wellbeing and clinical decision making' [PDF], at Royal Holloway University in collaboration with Royal Holloway's Dr Roberta Bernardi. 

Consultants, GPs and patients using assistive technologies for health management were invited to particpate in idenifying priorities for research projects that could benefit users of telehealth systems.
