Everything you ever wanted to know about public service broadcasting - Hear from Sussex alumni working at the BBC
The School of Media, Film and Music invites you to meet three alumni with leading careers in the BBC and broadcasting. This panel discussion chaired by Professor David Hendy, broadcaster and media historian, will explore our panellists' journey from Sussex graduate to the BBC and examine the future of Public Service Broadcasting.
On the alumni panel:
- Peter Davey (History ’86) – Executive in Charge BBC Sport/Comic Relief and BBC Children in Need. Previous roles have included Controller of Comedy and Entertainment ITV.
- Tony Pilgrim (BA Media Studies 1997), Scheduling Editor BBC Radio 4
- Daisy Asquith (PhD in Documentary Ethics 2012), award-winning documentary filmmaker
Rachael Duncan, Senior Teaching Fellow in Journalism will also speak about her time working for the BBC
Primarily focused towards a student audience, this event is also open to alumni and staff.
