Last updated: Friday, 26 September 2025
The Sussex Digital Humanities Lab Writing Hub, is a welcoming, trusted space for researchers at all levels to write in company, share knowledge, and exchange good practice.
What’s on offer?
-
A quiet, shared environment for focused writing—whether you’re working on a paper, a bid, a blog, or any other research-related writing.
Are these sessions facilitated?
These sessions are intentionally informal and not facilitated—there are no presentations or talks. However, colleagues with experience in bid development and academic writing will be present and happy to answer questions or offer advice and support.
Is there a set programme for the day?
The lab is open and set up from 10am. There is not programme except ‘quiet breaks’ suggested throughout the day at 11:30, 1pm, and 2:30pm to minimise disruption and aid concentration (20 – 30 min).
Who can attend?
All researchers, including PGRs, working on or with an interest in SHL Digital areas of research, regardless of discipline or career stage. Just drop in—no need to book.
When and where?
Last Thursday of every month, from 10 until 4pm, in the Sussex Digital Humanities Lab (“The Lab”), Silverstone, Level 2, opposite room SB211. Download this ICS file to add the dates to your personal calendar.
