Letter request form

You can only request one letter for each form submission. You cannot save this form and return to it later, so gather all the details you need first.

To get your letter as soon as possible, make sure your term-time address is up-to-date in Sussex Direct before filling in this form.

Your details
Your first name and family name.
Enter your Sussex email address. This is the address we will contact you on.
This is your ITS username. It's normally two or three letters and then two or three numbers: for instance, ab123.
This is the eight-digit number on your student ID card, beginning with 2.
If you are a graduate of the University and do not know your Sussex username or registration number, enter "unknown" into the sections above and provide your date of birth instead.
Tell us your level of study or if you're an ISC student.

If you know which bank you’re applying to, tell us:

  1. the name of the bank
  2. the address of the bank
Maximum of 200 words.
If you need a visa to travel abroad while you're a student, tell us which country you're planning on travelling to. This will be the embassy we address your letter to.

If your family or friends are visiting you (such as visiting for your graduation) enter their details below so they can use a letter from us to support a Standard Visitor visa application.

Receiving your letter

You will receive your letter as a PDF to your email account.

You can then print this letter if you need to.
