You address a historical problem in depth, setting your own research project and its questions.
You will:
- resolve those questions with a module involving the design of a research outline
- carry out your own research based on primary historical sources.
- develop the skills necessary to write an extended piece of written work based on this (usually archival) research.
Module learning outcomes
- Define a research question and agenda.
- Undertake archive or text based research.
- Construct complex written arguments of greater length than hitherto on the basis of historical research using primary sources.
