Psychology of Childhood (C8813)

Spring teaching
This module aims to give students an overview of child development from birth through preadolescence. The module provides an overview of development in four main areas: biological (e.g. temperament), emotional (e.g. attachment), cognitive (e.g. categorisation) and social (e.g. peer relations). Additionally, this module places key emphasis on developing group working and independent learning skills by utilising a team-based small group teaching approach.

This module is 150 hours of work. This breaks down into 17 hours of contact time and 133 hours of independent study.
