Digital Signal Processing Laboratory (868H1)
15 credits, Level 7 (Masters)
The module will introduce you to programming digital signal processors to perform digital filtering of signals in one or two dimensions. You will learn to use the appropriate toolchain in order to code, compile, execute and debug their own software running on a modern ARM DSP core. They will implement FIR and IIR filters on one dimensional signals and frame based processing of two dimensional signals such as images.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 30 hours of contact time and about 120 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
