Summer teaching

In this module, you carry out a research project - demonstrating that you know how to apply theories, conduct research at Masters level, and interpret and apply research findings.

You will explore a topic indepth, develop and test an hypothesis and evaluate a theory.

You also develop skills in:

  • critical analysis
  • interpretation
  • application.

During the module, you show that you can plan, conduct, analyse and interpret your research.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 300 hours of work. This breaks down into about 9 hours of contact time and about 291 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
