Journalism Project (010P3)
60 credits, Level 7 (Masters)
This independent study module involves the completion of a critical journalism project on a topic of your choice. The module offers you the chance to work independently with guidance and advice from an appropriate tutor appointed as a project supervisor.
You are expected to demonstrate how your ideas and knowledge have developed over the year and how these ideas inform your practice. You will develop a portfolio of your journalism and reflect on this process in the associated essay.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 600 hours of work. This breaks down into about 600 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
This module is running in the academic year 2020/21. We also plan to offer it in future academic years. It may become unavailable due to staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum. We’ll make sure to let our applicants know of such changes to modules at the earliest opportunity.
