Autumn and spring teaching

This module covers: Confidentiality & gaining consent; engaging harder to reach CYP/families; engaging LGBT+, CIC & BME populations; developing therapeutic relationships with families/carers alongside CYP. Recognising wider issues (substance misuse; self-harm; learning disabilities; attentional difficulties; bullying; trauma). Collaborative risk formulation & management; managing risk to practitioners. Referral & suitability for EMHP assessment; suitability for low-intensity CB interventions; giving evidence-based information as part of collaborative care-planning; managing onward referral. Managing a caseload; care planning & co-ordination; co-production. Managing roadblocks & ruptures with CYP, families/carers and colleagues.

Contact hours and workload

This module is 150 hours of work. This breaks down into 36 hours of contact time and 114 hours of independent study.
