Autumn teaching

This module covers: structure in education; types of school; legislation/policy; ethos, SENCO/SEND, PSHE, roles & responsibilities in educational contexts; challenges of working on MH within educational settings, the links between mental health and educational access/attainment, learning difficulties, exam stress, peer/interpersonal relationships, social media, bullying, levels of mental health intervention for CYP, families & staff in schools, and auditing meantl health needs, prioritising care & monitoring outcomes in an educational setting. It would also include contingency management programs & mental health.

Contact hours and workload

This module is 150 hours of work. This breaks down into 36 hours of contact time and 114 hours of independent study.
