Spring and summer teaching

This module is designed to follow Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Depression, providing the knowledge and skills necessary to work with more complex presentations associated with Depression.

By the end of the module, you will have developed knowledge and skills in working with people suffering from more complex depression presentations that include:

  • Chronic and recurrent Depression
  • Depression and Chronic Fatigue
  • Depression and Pain Management
  • Chronic Low Self Easteem
  • Depression and Medically Unexplained Symptoms.

You will learn evidence based interventions using behavioural and cognitive methods to help reduce factors that contribute to the maintenance of these complex difficulties.

Contact hours and workload

This module is 150 hours of work. This breaks down into 36 hours of contact time and 114 hours of independent study.
