EU Excellence Scholarship (2020)

This scholarship is for EU-domiciled undergraduate students, to reward excellent academic performance before taking up a place at Sussex. There are a limited number of awards available, so only the strongest applicants should apply.

You receive a £2,000 cash award, paid as two separate payments of £1,000.


To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must:

  • be domiciled in the EU (non-UK)
  • have achieved/are predicted excellent grades (see table for minimum grade required to be considered for the scholarship)

Apply for the EU Excellence Scholarship

Applications will be considered by the scholarship selection panel and all applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application before the end of April 2020.

You receive the scholarship during your first year, as two identical payments of £1,000.   The first is paid in November 2020 and the second in March 2021.
