Chancellor's Masters Scholarships are available for First Class graduates from the UK or Ireland. There are only 100 scholarships available, so there is a competitive application process.
What you get
£3,000 for UK students or £5,000 for international students
You are not eligible for this scholarship if you are going to study any of the following:
Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
Development Studies MA
Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
Globalisation, Business and Development MA
Governance, Development and Public Policy MA
Power, Participation and Social Change MA
Poverty and Development MA
Degrees in Social work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
Online courses
Schools direct teaching courses
Masters funded by the research councils (e.g. ESRC 1+3 funding)

How to apply
To be considered for the Chancellors Masters Scholarship, you need to have received and accepted an offer of a place on an eligible Masters at Sussex and hold, or expect to achieve, a First Class UK or Irish Bachelors degree. To apply for the scholarship, you are required to provide a statement of academic interests. You should include information about:
your previous academic achievement and excellence
your academic and career aspirations after you have completed your Masters
any work or extra-curricular activity you have undertaken that relates to your Masters.
As there are limited awards available, you are advised to apply as soon as possible as all awards may be allocated before the final application deadline is reached. Priority will be given to those that have not already completed a postgraduate qualification. We will notify you of the outcome of your application by email.
