School of Media, Arts and Humanities Research Conversations
We are proud to present a new School research event series
Our aim is to create a regular space where the school as a whole can come together for conversations about our research, to foster collaborations and intellectual connections across our 18 Research Centres, 14 subject areas and many more hubs, clusters, projects and societies. We also hope to celebrate school specialisms, themes, and values, showing why Media, Arts and Humanities matter to the University and to publics.
Our Research Conversations therefore include practitioners and public speakers, and work alongside programmes including the Sussex Festival of Ideas, the Attenborough Centre for Creative Arts season and the Stuart Hall Foundation Fellowship.
The School already runs a busy research calendar, so the Research Conversations Series focus on ‘get to know and get inspired’ roundtable events. These bring together groups of colleagues to give informal, five-minute talks on a connecting theme, with time for networking, collaboration with existing research series, and occasional keynote speakers on a topic of general relevance to the School as a whole.
