Overview

This session will explain why Buddycheck is a useful tool to use with groupwork assessments, as well as provide a demonstration of how the tool works in Canvas.

Participants will have the opportunity to participate in discussions about groupwork, as well as see how Buddycheck can:

• collect students’ scores and feedback on their own and their peers’ contributions to group work
• provide your students with automated yet personalised feedback on their contributions
• use peer scores to calculate and apply individual weightings to marks awarded for group submissions
• make assessment of group work fairer through increased accountability and peer-moderation of grades

• Staff with teaching responsibilities

• It is expected that attendees will already have an awareness of how to use Canvas assignments
• These presentation slides will be used during the session.
