Biography
In 2016 I completed my PhD in Gender Studies (Humanities) My thesis, entitled Making Queer Families: Identity, LGBTQ Parents, Media, and Cultural Representation, showed how media and cultural representation was vital in suporting the work LGBTQ parents do to resource and stabilise identity narratives.
In addition to teaching at Sussex, I also work at UWE as a researcher on a project exploring bisexual people's experience of relationships.
I have organised a number of conferences and seminar series at Sussex which promoted the work of PhD researchers in areas relating to gender and sexuality, cultural and media studies.
