Here are some of the projects that RATED are currently working on.

Creating inclusive classrooms

Our collaborative project, ‘ Creating Inclusive Classrooms’, aims to support the development of professional training resources to help teachers to understand and work to reduce any unconscious biases in their behaviours towards different pupils.  We have received initial funding from the University of Sussex to co-produce (with teachers and researchers) a rubric to help teachers identify any biases in their behaviours through the use of video technology, and training materials to provide insight into the psychology underlying bias.

We have co-produced the materials and conducted initial, light-touch evaluations.  We are currently aiming to implement and evaluate the rubric on a wider and more robust scale.
