Students turn to Sussex for clearing
Clearing call centre
Thousands of students have begun to jam the University of Sussex hotlines as this year's clearing procedure begins.
To deal with the many enquiries a call centre has been established on campus to help students find the right course for them. There is also a comprehensive clearing website.
The lines will remain open from 8.30am until 7.00pm tonight and every weekday.
Rob Evans, Assistant Registrar, says of clearing: "So far it's been going perfectly. We've got a great team on the phones helping students with all the possible options open to them at Sussex."
