Spring teaching

American Drama will introduce you to representative plays, playwrights and theatrical movements of the modern United States. A selection of genres and styles will be read to give a broad understanding of the key movements and significant writers from the beginning of the 20th century through to the present. The plays will be placed in their historical and social context and particular attention will be given to the issues of race, class and gender that they address.

Contact hours and workload

This module is 150 hours of work. This breaks down into 24 hours of contact time and 126 hours of independent study.
