Project X is delighted to invite you to the Sustainable Futures for Project Delivery Conference on Wednesday 6 October 2021.

In the United Kingdom, post-pandemic recovery plans to ‘Build Back Better’ are founded on an assumption of improved project delivery enabling ‘faster’, ‘fairer’ and ‘greener’ growth. This creates an unprecedented opportunity for academics and project delivery professionals to come together to share expertise and ideas that rise to the challenge of transforming large-scale projects and programmes.

This one-day conference explores how aspirations for improved project delivery can be achieved whilst addressing commitments for Levelling-Up, Net Zero and the Plan for Growth.

Expert speakers from government, industry and academia will explore the agenda for reform alongside opportunities and challenges of making project delivery more economically, socially and environmentally sustainable.  We invite delegates to join us to discuss how major projects and programmes can transition to a more sustainable future.

  • Outline Agenda

This conference is fully online to enable access from many locations. Each session has been carefully designed to generate debate and stimulate ideas.

Throughout the day there are three central questions that we have asked leading experts, policymakers, industry and academics to consider:

    • What are the challenges of transitioning to a more sustainable future?
    • What are the implications for project delivery capabilities, skills and standards?
    • How can we come together to pool our knowledge and ideas to navigate this change?

Please see the Project X website for a more detailed programme for the day, information about the sessions, videos, blogs and more.
