Research with Impact Day 2022
Join us at the Bramber House Conference Centre on Tuesday 7 June 2022 for a day of networking and showcasing activity, discussions and training sessions, and the return of our impact awards, which celebrate the creativity and commitment of those pursuing and supporting research with impact at Sussex.
Registration is free, and all staff are welcome from across the academic Schools and the Professional Services; we’d like to especially encourage Research Staff to attend.

Research Staff Showcase
9.30-16.30 Terrace Room
Dedicated to our Research Staff community, the Showcase event features marketplace-type ‘stalls’ at which researchers present their research and activities. Join us to find out more about their leading and innovative work, an opportunity to network amongst new and familiar colleagues, and to vote for the best stall (winner to be announced at the Awards Reception closing the event).
Professional Services Drop-ins

Meet and find out about the work of our Professional Services teams supporting various aspects of research across the University, at a range of ‘drop-in’ tables. No need to book ahead – just turn up and have a chat, ask questions, get to know who’s who in the research support community, and how they might assist you in your research activities and career.

What could you learn from your colleagues to help you progress along your impact journey? Hear from four Sussex researchers whose impacts were submitted to REF 2021, speaking about the various approaches, opportunities, challenges and successes they’ve experienced on their pathways to impact.

Research with Impact Awards Reception
16:30-17:30 Terrace Room
Join us to celebrate the outstanding work of your colleagues in pursuing or supporting research impact at Sussex. Whether well-established or just emerging, a team effort or individual achievement, PI or Professional Services, our Awards recognize and reward the commitment of those who are pursuing real-world change through research, and making a vital contribution to our impact culture.
Eight winning entries will be awarded £1000 and a certificate. The Awards will be introduced and presented by PVC-R Keith Jones, and will be accompanied by refreshments.
