We are seeking to recruit a Teaching Fellow to plan and deliver undergraduate teaching of physiology in undergraduate modules in The School of Life Sciences to join our Biochemistry and Biomedical Science Subject group.
The post requires the ability to design and deliver lectures, seminars, workshops, and practical sessions, to employ innovative assessment methods and to contribute to the recruitment and pastoral care of students and quality control of teaching.
The role would suit those with broad interests in physiology, and who wish to work as part of a dynamic team. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the development of relevant degrees by maintaining a detailed understanding of developments in the area and using a range of established and innovative teaching/assessment methods as appropriate.
A further important aspect of the role is to identify, employ and promote pedagogic best practice and excellence in education within the School to improve the student experience.
The School of Life Sciences is at the forefront of research in the biological sciences in the UK, coming in the top 10 in the REF 2014.
