An opportunity now exists for a specialist in modern and contemporary art and visual culture with an interest in feminist and queer approaches.You will be expected to consolidate and build on our longstanding teaching and research strength in this area, and our commitment to a long history of art.
You will have a research specialization in any aspect of the arts and visual cultures of the twentieth and twenty-first century and be prepared to engage with the ongoing debates in feminist and queer theory to support students from art history, curating and queer studies more broadly.
You will join a thriving, collegial department with a commitment to interdisciplinary study and curriculum diversification, and an intellectually ambitious student community.
Research-led teaching, good communication skills, and an ability to work productively as part of a friendly, team-oriented department are essential for this position.
The teaching commitment, 0.70 FTE, will be delivered during the University term, in addition to marking assessments and MA supervision during the whole of the period of the contract. The schedule will be discussed further at interview
