Contract: Fixed Term – 12 months, with secondment opportunity possible
Salary: starting at £25,482 and rising to £29,515 per annum

The University of Sussex Business School is seeking to appoint a Senior Reception Coordinator to oversee the activities of a busy Reception office, that provides customer service and support to users and visitors of the University of Sussex Business School.
The School has a portfolio of 30 regular degree courses across its five departments of Accounting and Finance, Management, Strategy and Marketing, Economics and SPRU (Science Policy Research Unit).
The post will lead the Reception team of 5 staff, ensuring the provision of a professional and proficient customer service to a diverse and international clientele. You will oversee and delegate a varied workflow of administrative tasks, including receiving and processing student submissions, raising invoices, handling and distributing post, maintaining stationery stocks and other resources, reporting faults in the Jubilee building, organising travel and shipments plus many other projects as required.
The appointed post-holder will be a confident and competent supervisor with the ability to assess, prioritise and delegate a varied administrative workload. Experience of working in a busy, pressurised, customer-facing environment is essential and a strong commitment to consistently delivering the highest possible standard of service is expected. Knowledge and understanding of HE, gained in a comparable role, is highly desirable.
The role holder will be responsible for,
- the line-management of five staff
- demonstrating a proactive approach coordinating a range of building-related issues, and
- playing a leading role on health and safety across the school
