Salary: Starting at £51,034 to £59,135 per annum, pro rata if part time.

The Department of Accounting and Finance is looking to recruit a full-time faculty member at the Senior Lecturer level in the area of Accounting. A specialisation in the areas of Data Science in Accounting, Quantitative Methods in Accounting or Statistics in Accounting is highly desirable.
We are looking for an individual with an exciting research agenda that either complements or adds to the interests of our current faculty. The Finance Group has two existing research groups, Business Finance (BF) and Quantitative Finance (QF), which focus on topics such as company finance in both public and private companies, venture capital, derivatives, risk management and FinTech. The Accounting Group has existing expertise in the area of accountability, performance management, governance, accounting in public sector and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), accounting in emerging economies, and public-private-NGO partnerships. The Accounting Group has a research group in Accounting and Society (AS).
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their research has publication potential in top level journals. The Department values ‘quality over quantity’. Applicants for Senior Lecturer should have at least one publication rated 4 or above and/or several publications rated 3 in the Accounting and Finance CABS current ranking list.
The successful candidate will be an engaged academic who enjoys working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment and shows enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues within the department and across disciplines.
They should have experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as a preparedness to teach specialist and core subjects.
