Brighton and Sussex Medical School is seeking four enthusiastic general practitioners to contribute to the strategic planning and delivery of general practice and generalist medical teaching for undergraduate medical students. The post-holders will contribute to the recruitment, support and quality control of general practice placements and a network of GP teachers. They will also contribute to the development of innovative learning and assessment materials relating to general practice and integrated clinical care across the curriculum, to ensure that these are relevant and up to date.
These new strategic posts will offer the appointees development opportunities in medical education, with opportunities for training and certification and potentially for further study. They are likely to suit GPs wishing to develop a portfolio career with a substantial educational component within the Brighton and Sussex Medical School community of educators.
Some travel to GP practices will be required. While we wish to appoint at 0.4FTE in the first instance, there may be flexibility a later stage.
