Working closely with the Principal Investigators, the SPRU Research Unit Manager, and the Research Finance Officer in the Research and Enterprise Division, the Research Projects Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operational administrative and financial support for a wide ranging portfolio of research projects, in order to facilitate the delivery of the research and fulfilment of reporting requirements, including ensuring timesheets for all staff are completed, expenditure is planned and processed accurately, and all procedures around contracts and staff recruitments are followed through the University’s finance and HR systems.
You will need to be confident working with spreadsheets, automated administrative and finance systems, be meticulous and well-organised, able to work on your own initiative and within teams, self-managing a varied workload with competing priorities.
