Salary: starting at at £41,526 to £49,553 per annum

Applications are invited for an experienced Research Fellow to join the Sussex Health Outcomes Research and Education in Cancer (SHORE-C) unit within BSMS, based at the University of Sussex. Applicants should ideally have a PhD in Health Psychology and significant post-doctoral experience in design and/or interpretation of patient reported outcome measures, interviewing skills and/or teaching communication skills to HCPs within the oncology field. In addition, candidates must demonstrate post-doctoral expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
The SHORE-C group conducts a variety of projects in numerous areas including quality of life in cancer trials, patient preferences for different treatments, communication and other interventional studies. It is expected that the person appointed will take a leadership role for developing studies, and have a strong track record in clinical research.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other members of the team on a variety of projects and lead and develop others.
