Salary: Grade 7 starting at £33,797 to 40,322 per annum, pro rata if part time or
Grade 8 starting at 41,526 to 49,553 per annum, pro rata if part time

A multidisciplinary team in the School of Life Sciences at the University of Sussex made up of Prof Michelle West (Biochemistry and Biomedicine, https://profiles.sussex.ac.uk/p116026-michelle-west/about), Prof Jeff Hill (Sussex Drug Discovery Centre, https://profiles.sussex.ac.uk/p486511-jeffrey-hill) and Prof John Spencer (Chemistry, https://profiles.sussex.ac.uk/p74501-john-spencer/about) wishes to appoint a Medicinal Chemist with a background in Drug Discovery.
Funded by a 31-month Therapeutic Discovery Award from Cancer Research UK, you will be based in the Sussex Drug Discovery Centre (http://www.sussex.ac.uk/sddc/) and work on a structure-led drug discovery project focused on developing new treatments for Epstein-Barr virus associated cancers.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a team with extensive expertise in Epstein-Barr Virus Biology, Drug Discovery and Medicinal Chemistry based in a School with an international reputation for excellence in structural biology, cancer and genomic sciences.
