Hours: Full time or part time hours considered up to a maximum of 1.0 FTE. Requests for flexible working options will be considered (subject to business need).
Contract: Fixed term for 30 months
Salary: Starting at £33,199 and rising to £36,609 per annum (pro rata if applicable)

Applications are invited from highly motivated post-doctoral research scientists to apply for a fellowship position to work within the Sackler Centre for Consciousness Science and the Psychiatry group within the Department of Clinical Neuroscience and Neuroimaging at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
The unique cross-disciplinary Sackler Centre for Consciousness Science was founded in 2010 through a donation from the Dr. Mortimer and Dame Theresa Sackler Foundation. The present post is funded through generous extension support to the Sackler Centre from the Foundation, from January 2019.
The successful applicant will have an established record of high quality research publications, technical skills applicable to experimental human neuroscience and experience in the analysis and presentation of experimental research.
Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant neuroscientific discipline. Experience in human neuroimaging, and/or psychophysiological techniques and supporting coding (Matlab, Python) and analytic platforms (e.g. SPM, FSL, AFNI) is highly desirable. Similarly, experience in clinical investigations, particularly if relevant to neurological or mental health conditions, is desirable.
The applicants will be asked to propose briefly a clinically-oriented project involving psychiatric and/or neuropsychiatry clinical populations, that they wish to pursue through funding, expertise and facilities of the Sackler Centre for Consciousness Science, and that fits within the remit of the aims of the Centre.
