Salary: starting at £33,797 to £40,322 per annum, pro rata if part time.

Your new role
The Sussex 2025 Research with Impact and supporting Enabling Research Technology Strategy has a clear objective to ensure systems are in place for delivering robust and speedy compliance with external requirements and internal management information. A Research Management System would facilitate end-to-end management of the research process from requests for initial funding, allowing collaboration during research (including with third parties), providing reporting abilities and a repository for archiving documents and data.
The Project Manager will be part of the newly created Sussex Projects, working in the Research Portfolio, you will manage the delivery of an RMS which will facilitate Research and Enterprise Services processes, bringing together School’s research and enterprise activities in one place and facilitate review and approval processes, providing easier, faster and more reliable access to information by academic and professional services staff.
What you'll need to succeed
The right candidate will have strong experience delivering IT Software, system implementation/integration or change projects on time and on budget, working very closely with multi-departmental business colleagues, 3rd parties and suppliers, while managing a diverse team. You will be confident, engaging and enthusiastic about your work and genuinely want to help facilitate successful delivery.
