Job description

The role sits within the Planning, Information management and Compliance Directorate which provides planning and project management support services, as well as overseeing a number of areas of compliance.

Within that, the Planning team plays a key role in supporting strategy and policy setting, and facilitating decision making through expert analysis, data modelling and business intelligence. In recognition of its important role, the Planning team has been expanded and this is a further additional role in the team.

Working with the Head of Planning and alongside colleagues in the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Unit team, in particular, you will provide high quality information, analysis and insight to improve equality of opportunity for both staff and students at the University of Sussex, irrespective of gender, ethnicity, disability or sexual orientation. You will contribute towards the development of strategy and applications for charter marks (such as Athena SWAN and Race Equality Charter) and pay gaps in the equality, diversity and inclusion area.

Experience of data analysis and interpretation and a good understanding of the Higher Education sector is essential and we are most interested in candidates who are able to provide logical analysis and interpretation of data, presented in clear, high quality reports.
