Job description

The Library is seeking to appoint a part-time Academic Services Supervisor for an exciting, new fixed term role. The hours of work for the post are 18.25 per week, negotiable within core Library hours 8.00am-6.00pm.

The Library is working in partnership with academic colleagues to develop and publish an open access, digital textbook using an online book publishing platform. The post-holder will co-ordinate the implementation of the open publishing platform, liaise with the system vendor and Library project team, and offer support for users. To succeed in this post, you will be highly motivated and able to work well both in a team environment and independently. Initiative, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills are essential.  

The role will require an understanding of open publishing in academic institutions, or a commitment to developing this.

The successful applicant will be based in the Academic Services section of the Library, supporting researchers and research administrators.
