The Department of Management is looking to recruit two full-time faculty members at Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer/ Reader level in Information Systems (Education and Students).
The successful candidates will be a part of a vibrant and growing group of Information Systems and Technology Management scholars within the Department of Management. Further information about the group’s research and members’ profiles can be found here.
Applicants from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds are encouraged to apply including Information Systems, Technology Management, Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics, Operations and Supply Chain Management. We encourage applications from individuals who take innovative approaches to teaching, who are experienced in delivering research-led teaching and are interested in informing their teaching with business practice. The successful applicants will contribute to our BSc in Business and Management Studies, MSc in Management and to the MSc in Global Supply and Logistics Management programmes. We would expect them to teach in modules on Digital Data and Decision Making Skills and we would welcome applicants with experience to teach SAP software.
The successful candidate(s) profile should be reflecting the rank they are applying. Candidates who apply for a Lectureship position should be able to demonstrate scholarly work on pedagogical matters in the Management field as evidenced by a Doctoral degree in Education, Fellowship in HEA, peer reviewed publications or submitted work on relevant outlets, and active participation in conferences of the discipline. Evidence of teaching-excellence is expected.
Candidates who apply for a Senior Lectureship/Reader position are expected to be Senior Fellows of the HEA, to be involved in Continuous Professional Development opportunities, to participate in relevant professional organisations and to have publications in peer-reviewed pedagogical outlets (including journals and conferences). They should also be able to demonstrate evidence of teaching excellence and innovation and of leadership experience in the development and directorship of programmes.
The successful applicants need to have an enthusiasm for teaching and for collaborating with colleagues.
