Job description

The School of Media, Arts and Humanities at the University of Sussex wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Film Studies from 2 January 2023 to contribute to teaching in the Film Studies Department.

The successful candidate will normally possess a completed doctorate in a relevant academic discipline, have teaching experience in the fields of gender, sexuality and queer studies and be able to help with the teaching of Film Studies at the University of Sussex. The successful candidate will be required principally to cover one UG module (Cinema and Sexualities) and one PG module (Cinematic Bodies) and potentially cover a lower level introductory class. It is desirable that the candidate’s research engages with the study of gender, sexuality and queer studies.
