The Department of Engineering and Design at the University of Sussex is looking to appoint a Lecturer in Engineering with expertise in robotics and automation. The Department is part of the School of Engineering and Informatics, which delivers world-class research and high-quality teaching in automotive, electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, robotics, product design as well as in computer science.
The successful candidate will be part of the Robotics and Mechatronics Systems Research Group and will be expected to have research interests in the areas of robotics, soft robotics, bioinspired robots, mechatronics devices, machine vision and autonomous systems. We are especially keen to recruit candidates who can complement the existing research interests of the academics in the research Group. We encourage applicants who see themselves able to contribute to the research activity of the Group to apply even if their research interests are not listed here.
The successful applicant will be responsible for devising and delivering teaching for the Department in our electrical/electronic with robotics and mechanical with robotics courses including teaching in our Trans National Education programmes abroad.
