Salary: Grade 7 starting at £33,797 and rising to £40,322 per annum, or
Grade 8 starting at £41,526 rising to £49,553 per annum.

The School of Engineering and Informatics at the University of Sussex wishes to appoint one or more permanent Lecturer in Computers Science to teach in the Department of Informatics. This position is equivalent to Assistant Professor.
The successful candidate will have research interests in one or more of the following areas: Computer Networks, Computer Security or other Systems aspects of Computer Science. He/she will be expected to be able to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level across core areas of Computer Science. She/he will work within the Foundation of Software Systems (FoSS) research group.
The Foundations of Software Systems group focuses on both practical and theoretical aspects of compilation, programming languages, edge computing, programmable network verification and machine learning for network protocol design and large-scale network management. The work of the group is used within industry in a number of companies, such as the spinouts InCrowd Sports and DiffBlue, and in collaborations with existing companies such as MoogSoft.
