Salary: Lecturer A starting at £33,797 and rising to £40,322 per annum, or Lecturer B starting at £41,526 and rising to 49,553. It is normal to appoint at the first point of the salary scale.

Job description 

The School of Engineering and Informatics at the University of Sussex wishes to appoint a permanent lecturer in Artificial Intelligence to teach in the Department of Informatics. 

The successful candidate will have research interests in one or more of the following areas: Machine Learning; Natural Language Processing; Data Science; Computer Vision.  He/she will be expected to be able to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level across core areas of AI and computing. 

Depending on the successful candidate’s research interests, he/she will be expected to join one of the existing groups in the Department: the Data Science Research Group, the Foundations of Software Systems Research Group, the Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems Group, and the Creative Technology Group.
