The University of Sussex is seeking to appoint a skilled, creative and self-motivated Learning Technologist to help us maximise the effective use of digital technologies and transform the learning experience at Sussex.

The successful candidate will join us at an exciting time for the University as we take forward the ambitious aims of the Learn to Transform strategy, supporting academic schools to enrich their practice using digital technologies.

This role involves working in partnership with academic staff and students to support the application of learning technologies in the design, development and delivery of courses and to act as a change agent in this important area.

The ideal candidate will:

  • have experience in developing high-quality online learning experiences
  • demonstrate an awareness of the importance of inclusive practices, accessibility and assistive technologies
  • be abreast of developments in digital education practice and emerging fields such as virtual and augmented reality
  • be skilled in the use of a variety of digital software and services and in the production of digital resources

They will collaborate with fellow Learning Technologists and with Academic Developers to drive forward the effective use of digital technologies to enrich the educational experience of our students.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate a record of ongoing professional development as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to develop strong working relationships across the University.
