Hours: full time or part time hours considered up to a maximum of 36.5 per week. Requests for flexible working options will be considered (subject to business need).
Contract: Fixed term until 31 December 2021
Salary: starting at £30,046 to £33,797 per annum, pro rata if part time

The School of Engineering & Informatics is looking for a motivated and committed person to provide effective cover for our John Clifford West (JCW) facility for teaching and research laboratories. The post requires a proactive approach, initiative and the ability to work independently as well as within the broader academic and technical teams.
The post holder will be highly organised, adaptable, flexible, have excellent interpersonal skills and able to deal with a broad range of requests and tasks that arise in the diverse teaching and research areas of the school. Experience within the motorsport industry will be advantageous.
General responsibility under the Technical Services Manager for the operation of the laboratory facilities in the John Clifford West building. Ensuring a safe and tidy working environment is maintained at all times, work with & supervise Formula Student, Formula Student Electric, Formula Student Concept & Powerstorm student teams over the summer period, ensure labs are set up & supported in the summer term.
