Job description

We are looking for an experienced Service Desk Co-ordinator to join the Service Centre Team in IT Services.

This is a full time post and a unique opportunity for the successful applicant to combine their technical knowledge with exceptional customer service skills in a client facing role.

You will be working on a busy Service Desk dealing with a variety of enquiries from staff, students and visitors working on our busy Service Centre Front Desk, or dealing with customers via our telephone service Desk . You should have strong written and verbal communication skills and a dedicated approach to providing excellent customer service.

 The successful candidate will have a proven record of diagnosing and troubleshooting problems and finding solutions to ever changing technical issues. In particular you should have experience of resolving hardware, software and connectivity issues on a range of Windows, Apple and Android enterprise and BYOD devices.

You will be well organised, self-motivated, with the ability to communicate technical information to staff and students who have varying levels of IT awareness, and should enjoy being part of a dynamic client facing technical support team.

Staff in this role will work 36.5 hours across the week. The post holder will be required to participate in the rota to cover out of hours service, weekend, minimum service days and bank holidays as required.
