Job description

The University of Sussex Housing Services is seeking a friendly and organised person to be a Housing Office Coordinator (Finance) to lead on processing the large amount of financial work required by Housing Services and helping to administer the formal Residential Complaints. The role requires helping to coordinate elements of the Housing Services, such as housing enquiries and reception service, helping applicants, students, agents and residents via counter, email, telephone and social media. You will work with one other Housing Officer Coordinator as well as the entire Housing team, to provide a coordinated service.

Your ideas and creativity, along with your enthusiasm and commitment to help our students in their residences is vital.

You will be responsible for liaising with suppliers, raising POs, processing invoices and carrying out the majority of the finance work for the Housing Office.

You will need to have a good standard of education, together with excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills.  Duties will include providing front-line customer reception service, and responding to enquiries via telephone, social media, and email, together with ordering stationery, maintaining documents, filing and assisting with the production of written information. 

You will join a friendly and committed team of housing professionals at a time of growth and investment in our housing portfolio of over 5,300 bed-spaces in residences on our Falmer campus and across the city.
