Job description 

This vacancy is open to University of Sussex graduates 2019 or 2020 (UG and PGT) in any discipline. 

The Information Management team is looking to recruit an Administrative Secretary to join us in the Division of the General Counsel, Governance and Compliance. This role sits within the Information Management and Compliance team in the division, which is primarily responsible for compliance with Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation. The role gives the opportunity to work with a wide range of staff across the University. 

The role holder will:

  • Provide organisational and administrative support across the team;
  • Support the Information Officer in dealing with Freedom of Information and Data Protection requests; and
  • Assist the Head of Information Management and Compliance in coordinating the work of the team. 

The successful candidate will have strong planning and organising skills, excellent written and oral communication skills and an ability to use a range of IT packages. The nature of the Information Management team’s work means that attention to detail and maintaining confidentiality are critical. 

Applicants should be a graduate from any undergraduate or taught postgraduate course at the University of Sussex.
