Job description

This vacancy is open to University of Sussex graduates 2019 or 2020 (UG and PGT) only.

The Research Impact, Communications and Engagement Team at the University of Sussex Business School is seeking to recruit a motivated Research Communications and Events Assistant.

The post holder will play a crucial role in implementing dynamic communications and engagement strategies for the Business School’s research activity, including researching and writing content for the web, developing content for social media, and organising and promoting conferences and research-focussed events.

The post holder will develop a range of communication, administration and events management skills, while working closely with academics and professional services colleagues to deliver major communications projects and impactful events.

The successful candidate will have excellent communications skills and attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage and prioritise their own workload in a fast-moving environment, as well as some experience supporting events and/or communications.

Open to graduates or postgraduates from any University of Sussex course from the Winter 2019 or Summer 2020 cohorts. The Sussex Graduate Programme provides our recent graduates with the opportunity to gain vital work experience and develop key employability skills.
