Job description

The University of Sussex is seeking to recruit a Global Partnerships Manager to join our Global Partnerships Team in the Global Engagement Office as we prepare to deliver the global ambitions expressed in the Sussex 2025 Strategic Framework, enabled through our developing international strategy.

Global engagement is now front and centre for the University, supported by a commitment to embed internationalisation in our education and to increase our international research profile. 

We have bold plans for furthering our reach of and reputation for excellence through taking our education overseas, creating opportunities for impactful research collaborations and engaging for change. 

You will have previously led on University’s contract with TNE partner institutions, and developed and managed marketing and recruitment. You will have a clear understanding of the opportunities and issues relating to TNE partnership development and management, and reasonable understanding of quality assurance arrangements. You will also have excellent communication skills in order to develop and manage relationships between partner institutions and other University departments.  

Working under the direction of the Head of Global Partnerships you will work closely with Academic Development and Quality Enhancement team (ADQE) and academic Schools to:

  • Lead on all aspects of the University’s contract with TNE partner institute
  • Develop, implement and manage Student Recruitment and Marketing Strategy for the TNE projects
  • Provide advice, guidance and policy development that supports innovation and enhances the students experience for those studying at partner institution
  • Ensure quality assurance arrangements are aligned with institutional and external regulatory requirements, and manage risk as appropriate
